Publications

Go straight to our list of publications>>
or read the guidance below on downloading documents from this site.

Almost all publications on this site are in one of two formats:

  • Portable Document Format (pdf)
  • Rich Text Format (rtf)

Portable Document Format gives a 'real life' image of the actual publication in full colour, including all pictures, diagrams, graphs and photographs. To read pdf documents, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. This is a popular download, and you may already have this software installed. If not, please click on the image below to download Adobe Acrobat Reader free of charge. The access.adobe.com website also provides tools and information to help make pdf files accessible to users with visual impairments.

Download Adobe Acrobat Reader for pdf files

Rich Text Format files can be read by almost any current word processing application, such as Word, WordPad, WordPerfect, Works etc. However, most rtf files contain only the text of the document, with few images and little formatting. These files are often larger than pdfs, and sometimes take longer to download.

Publications are listed in alphabetical order by topic; the year of publication, size of the file and file format is shown underneath each title in square brackets [ ]. If you cannot find a specific Commission publication, please contact us with details of the document, for example, the name and publication date. We will do our best to add it to our list as soon as possible.

How do I download a publication?

After downloading, please take a few moments to complete our short publication feedback form. Your responses will help us in planning future LHC titles.
